  • ATTN African NS Students: The Let It Out project is a collaborative working group between Ceasefire Halifax, The Association of Black Social Workers (ABSW), NS Brotherhood Initiative and Veith House. Let It Out was developed in response to needs identified by communities in North End Halifax after a series of homicides and sudden deaths. The Let It Out Grief Group provides safe spaces to attend peer led grief groups facilitated by members of the African Nova Scotian community. Through group, collective experiences, intense emotions, struggles and thoughts can be talked about with others with similar experiences. Support groups have been shown to increase overall sense of well-being, reduce anxiety and improve self-esteem.  The Drop-in Groups will run Tuesdays at the YMCA Gottingen

  • CHS-Passport in a Bowl 2017 Annual event will take place on Thursday May 25 at 11:35am in the Cafeteria! This is a call for everyone to participate: Students, Staff and Community Members at large are invited to donate a meal, nut free, to be served during lunch hour in the cafeteria to support of Cancer Society and CHSMUN!
  • Passport in the Bowl 2017 students leaders’ meeting today at 11:35am in room 216, all students are welcome to team up for this annual event.

  • Attention all graduates – Sign up sheets for Prom table seating arrangements need to be in today. Please bring your table sign up sheet to Ms. King in the guidance office. if you need a sheet and have not yet indicated your seating arrangement -you can pick up a form in the guidance office. today is the deadline to return these sheets – otherwise you will be assigned a seat
