  • Graduation Prom tickets will be on sale today in the lobby at lunch. Tickets are 30$ per person.  Tickets cannot be picked up unless all overdue text books and library books are returned.
  • Today is the LAST DAY to order a grad hoodie!! Bring your order form to the Phoenix Shop before 3p.m.
  • Attention Potential Graduates! The 2017 Citadel High Internal Scholarship Application is now open. All potential graduates for this year are encouraged to apply. The link for the application can be found on the Citadel High home page. The deadline for the application is Sunday, May 14th at 11:59pm. No application will be accepted after this time. Please take the time to fill this out. The scholarship committee has lots of money to give out but you must apply to be considered. Please see Mr. Connors in room 208 if you have any questions.
  • Scotland and Ireland trip – Don’t forget to sign up by Sunday, April 30th to receive 150$ off. The next two sign ups receive a 50.00 visa card.
  • Halifax Academics is a newly started tutoring program which is run by recent Citadel High graduates.  There will be a representative in the foyer at lunch time today to answer any questions.
  • The submission deadline for The Divert NS Champion of the Environment Scholarship is May 8th.This scholarship is offering one provincial winner $5,000.00 and six regional winners $2,500 each.  More information on the competition can be found at http://divertns.ca/scholarship.
  • Did you know that the Pavilion is an all ages’ space where you can express art? The EMERGE All Ages Festival presents a youth conference with keynote speaker Adrian Morris of Neon Dreams, hosted by Kyah Sparks on May 6th at 1pm at the Pavilion on Cogswell. Come to the All ages round table at 4pm, and the Youth Talent Showcase hosted by Corey Writes at 7pm. All happening at the Pavilion on Cogswell, see @emergehfx on instagram for details on the whole EMERGE May 3rd to 6th festival.
  • Coffee House May 4th in the spatz theatre from 7-9pm. Entrance fee of three dollars or one dollar with a non-perishable food bank donation. Proceeds go towards saving the bees.   • Attention all graduates! Prom tickets will be available for purchase on April 24th, 25th, and 26th at lunch time in the main foyer. Tickets are 30$ per person. All individuals attending prom must pick up and complete a prom agreement form in order to purchase tickets. The prom agreements can be picked up in the main office. All individuals attending prom ….. both Graduates and non graduates (which include any grade 10, grade 11 students and or students from another school ) must have these forms filled out and signed by parents or guardians. Seating arrangements will be done at a later date.

  • Citadel’s Environment Committee would like to remind everyone that Earth Day is this Saturday- April 22nd. You can celebrate this occasion with your friends and family by participating in an Earth Day party at the Ecology Action Centre, or spending some quality time outdoors.

  • The Leadership 12 Class of SJA is hosting their Annual Charity Volleyball Tournament on April 29th. The money raised will be going towards the Ronald McDonald House, Laing House and Halifax Refugee Clinic. Teams of 7 to 12 can sign up by emailing sjaleadership17@gmail.com by April 23rd. The cost is $20 per player and there will be both competitive and noncompetitive tiers! Please feel free to let us know if you have any questions or concerns! This tournament is open to both staff and students!
