The St. Agnes Junior High School Parent Teacher’s Association will be offering a $750.00 bursary to a grade 12 student graduating in June 2015, who meets the following requirements.
1. The student must be a graduate of St. Agnes Junior High School.
2. The student must have applied to / or been accepted at a Post Secondary
Institution ie. Community College, College, University.
Interested students will be required to complete the application form (in guidance) before June 5th and return it along with attachments to:

The StFX Leadership Program: St. Francis Xavier University
Me to We and St. Francis Xavier University (StFX) are committed to empowering young people
to act as leaders in their local and global community.
This July, Me to We and StFX are excited to bring young people from across North America together for an exclusive leadership training experience, providing experiential learning oppor-tunities on social justice and exploring what global citizenship and leadership look like. Over the course of an in-depth 6-day program.
Dates: Friday July 3rd – Thursday July 9th, 2015.
Location: St. Francis Xavier University, Antigonish, NS
Eligibility: The StFX Leadership Program accepts 75 participants. Applicants for the program must be currently enrolled in Grades 10 or 11, and must not be attending a post-secondary insti-tution during the 2015/2016 academic year.
Cost: Successful applicants will be awarded an entrance bursary to the program (approximate value of $1200), which includes all training, materials, accommodations, meals, and transporta-tion during the program. Participants will be responsible for their own

Dalhousie University is offering a summer program for high school girls interested in engineering. This program is for girls entering grades 11 and 12 and runs from July 6th – July 17th. The girls will get to experience engineering in an intensive, hands-on environment while working on 4 different projects, including one for a client right here in Halifax. They will get a chance to improve teamwork, communication, presentation, leadership, and computer skills, and may earn advance credit for first year engineering design if they decide to come to Dalhousie for Engineering.
